Welcome to The Kubernetes Catalog!
Taming the beast that is kubernetes can be overwhelming, especially at first. There are so many tools out there to help you manage, maintain, develop, deploy, and debug, that it’s easy to be overwhelmed, or to miss some fantastic gems.
We’re going to surface those tools that should be in every cluster maintainers tool belt, and check out the operators that might make your life a lot easier, whether you’re a hobbyist, a professional developer, and old school linux admin, or a global scale kubernetes wrangler. Thanks for going on this journey with us!
About me
This newsletter was started by me, Joe Lombrozo. I’ve been a linux admin since my parents upgraded their Tandy 486 and didn’t know what to do with the old one. I stuck it under my bed and started compiling CircleMUD Since then, I’ve worked for brand new startups, large corporations, and household names like SurveyMonkey and Zapier, to working on his own startup, always wearing some kind of server administration hat in addition to his developer duties.
His homelab habit has also gotten out of control, growing from that Tandy to a full blown rack of 10 year old Dell and HP servers. His local power company does not appreciate his hobby, nor does his ISP. How else is one to practice kubernetes tooling though?
